Delivery Policy

Delivery Methods

CapitalTicket.ca offers various delivery methods and these vary depending on the venue, the location of the venue, the country that you live in, the country where the event is being held, how much time is left before the event starts, and other factors. Typically, a per order delivery charge will be owed and this amount varies depending on the delivery method that you have selected.

Typically, the following delivery methods may be offered:

Standard Mail

Canada Post will be used if you select standard mail as your delivery method. Tickets sent by Canada Post can only be sent to the verified billing address. Please allow up to 10 business days after your order is processed to receive your tickets. It may take longer than this if you live in a country outside of Canada or if the event is to occur in the distant future.

Print at Home

This delivery method is the most convenient and quickest way to receive your tickets because you will receive your tickets by email. Tickets will arrive in the form of a PDF file and can be printed at any time.

Credit Card Express / Magnetic Swipe

This delivery method is also convenient because it allows you to deliver your tickets to the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets. You can then bring your credit card directly to the ticket taker at the event. The ticket taker will swipe your card and print off a receipt which identifies your seat locations. There is no need to visit the venue box office upon arrival if you have selected this method of delivery.

Will Call

Some venues which sell tickets through CapitalTickets.ca may offer a "will call" box office. This allows customers to pick up their tickets in person prior to the event. In order to pick up your tickets, you will be required to present:

  • A valid photo ID, driver's license or passport
  • The credit card used to purchase the tickets issued in your name
  • The order confirmation number

The box office will not release tickets if the name on the photo ID and credit card do not match the name used to purchase the tickets through CapitalTickets.ca or if the photo on the ID does not appear to be the photo of the person picking up the tickets.

Courier

XpressPost allows you to receive tickets to Canadian events if you have a Canadian billing address. XpressPost can only be used for events that occur in Canada, and cannot be used to send you tickets if you do not have a Canadian billing address. XpressPost packages are sent only to your verified billing address in Canada and cannot be sent to the United States or to any other country. Couriered orders are delivered between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday only, and not on holidays. An adult must be present to sign for the ticket order. In the event no adult is available or there is no one home at time of delivery, a notice of delivery card will be left to inform customers that a courier item is awaiting pickup from their local post office.

Outlet Pickup

Outlet pickup allows you to go to any Ottawa-Gatineau Sports Experts location to pick up your tickets. You must take your confirmation order number to the outlet location to have your tickets printed for you on the spot. Your order is held electronically on the ticket system and in order to pick up your tickets, you will be required to present:

  • A valid photo ID, driver's license or passport
  • The credit card used to purchase the tickets, issued in your name
  • The order confirmation number

The outlet will not release tickets if the name on the photo ID and credit card do not match the name used to purchase the tickets through CapitalTickets.ca or if the photo on the ID does not appear to be the photo of the person picking up the tickets.

Please note that an outlet will not provide you with your tickets until more than 2 business days after you have ordered them, unless the event is occurring within that time. For example, if a ticket is purchased on Saturday (i.e., not a business day) the ticket cannot be picked up until the following Wednesday.
